Manage Your Account

To log in to your library account remotely, all you need is a device with an internet connection, your library card, and your PIN.

Click on the ‘My Library Account‘ link at the top of any page of our website. It is just above the search box on our Home page. This will take you to our catalogue.

To sign in to your account, enter the alpha-numeric code located on the front of your library card and your assigned PIN, then click Sign In.

Once signed in, click on My Account at the top of the catalogue home page to see all items currently checked out, view notices, renew items, manage holds, manage your lists, or reset your PIN.

Please contact us if you have any difficulty signing in to your account. We are here to help!

Renew

If no one is waiting for the item, most physical items borrowed from the library can be renewed three times! You may renew your borrowed items using any of the options below.

Online

To renew items currently borrowed on your account, please log in to ‘My Library Account.‘ To renew, click ‘Items Checked Out,’ select the items that you would like to renew and select ‘Renew Selected.’

If the item you are trying to renew has a hold placed on it from another account, you will be unable to renew the title. Item will be due on the original due date; contact the library if you have any questions or concerns.

In-person

Visit us here at the Fort Nelson Public Library, ask for staff assistance or use the computer catalogue.

By Telephone

You can contact us at Fort Nelson Public Library by calling 1-250-774-6777 for any Phone Renewals. We will be happy to assist you.

The Phone Renewal service is free within the NRRM calling area, but long-distance calls for Phone Renewal are subject to long-distance charges.

Place Holds

To place a hold on items in the library catalogue, log in to your library account and search for the item. Using the library catalogue, you have the ability to narrow your search result through either the ‘Advanced Search‘ screen or by selecting ‘Refine My Original Search.’

Couldn’t find the item you were looking for in our library?

  • Use BC Interlibrary Connect! This program is in partnership with the BC Libraries Cooperative and allows patrons in libraries that use the Sitka library system to borrow items across the province.
  • If you were unable to find what you were looking for, you can try searching elsewhere in British Columbia using Illume. It is a catalogue that includes almost all public and post-secondary libraries in BC. However, please note that fees may apply for this service, and there are no renewals available. This service is provided in partnership with the BC Electronic Library Network.
