Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

The Library Youth Advisory Board (Y.A.B) is a dynamic group of dedicated young individuals passionate about making a difference in their community through the library. Comprising of youth ages 10 to 18, the Y.A.B meets monthly to provide input on library programs, services, and collections that are geared toward youth. Members can develop leadership skills, collaborate on exciting projects, and advocate for the interests and needs of their peers. By joining the Y.A.B., our community youth can help shape the future of the library, foster a love of reading and learning among their peers, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all young patrons. This board is an excellent platform for youth to voice their ideas, gain volunteer experience, and make lasting contributions to their community.
