Northern Lights & Winter Nights

We invite you to decorate the walls of our Library with your photos! Join us for our fourth annual photo contest.

This contest is open to all community members!

The theme is “Northern Lights & Winter Nights,” celebrating the breathtaking aurora borealis and the beauty of winter nights in Fort Nelson. Capture the contrast between the town’s lights, the night sky, and the surrounding winter landscapes. Get your cameras ready and start snapping!

How to ENTER:

Entries must be submitted by January 31, 2025. Each photo submission must include a brief artist’s blurb explaining the photo and its connection to the theme.
All photos must be high-resolution to ensure print quality. The recommended resolution is 300 dots per inch (DPI). Photos with extremely low resolution may appear “blocky” or pixelated.
All entries that comply with the contest rules will be displayed and ranked through community voting on our Facebook page. The photo with the most votes will win a Shutterfly gift certificate.
The top 6 winning photos will be displayed at the Library.
Submit the photo you feel best represents the theme and celebrates the beauty of our community. Please note that only one photo may be submitted per person.

Disclaimer: All photos must be original works created by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials in the photo, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual property, or privacy rights of any person or entity.
By entering the contest, entrants agree that the Fort Nelson Public Library may use their photos for advertising purposes on our Facebook page, display them within the Library, and include them in our Annual Reports.
